Under the hood, the HTC One (M8) was powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, along with a Quad-core CPU clocking in at 2.3 GHz for US/EMEA markets and 2.5 GHz for Asian and Chinese markets. The Adreno 330 GPU complemented this setup, ensuring a smooth performance for gaming and graphics-intensive applications. Initially launching with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the phone was upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, featuring HTC's custom Sense UI 6, which provided a clean and user-friendly interface.
