Performance and Software
Under the hood, the HTC P3400 packs a 200 MHz ARM926EJ-S CPU powered by a TI OMAP 850 chipset. While this is a far cry from the processing power seen in today's devices, it was adequate for running Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 PocketPC, the operating system it shipped with. The 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM might seem insufficient now, but these specifications were suitable for lightweight multitasking and managing the suite of available applications, such as Pocket Office, which allowed for basic document, spreadsheet, and presentation editing.
