The HTC Shift’s display was a 7-inch TFT resistive touchscreen that could display 16 million colors, which was impressive during its time. The 800 x 480 pixel resolution offered reasonably clear visuals, especially for web browsing and document editing tasks. However, the resistive touchscreen required firmer presses compared to the capacitive touchscreens that would eventually become the standard, which could impact ease of use for some applications.
