Design and Build
The design of the HTC Touch Diamond CDMA is quite noteworthy, with its compact dimensions of 102 x 53 x 15 mm and lightweight build at 115 grams. The phone possesses a unique geometric back that was quite fashionable at the time, and its overall look is accentuated by the black color scheme. Despite its diminutive size, the device manages to house a 2.8-inch TFT resistive touchscreen with a respectable resolution of 480 x 640 pixels. Although the screen size is modest by today's standards, the sharp pixel density of around 286 ppi was quite impressive in its era, offering crisp visual output. The use of a resistive touchscreen necessitates stylus or firm finger input, which harks back to the pre-capacitive era of smartphones.
