Design and Build
The HTC Touch Viva boasts a compact and ergonomic design typical of its time. With dimensions of 104.5 x 59 x 15.8 mm and a weight of 110 grams, the device is relatively light and fits comfortably in the hand. Its sleek, Storm Gray finish gives it a subtle professionalism. However, the screen-to-body ratio is low, with only a 2.8-inch display occupying roughly 39.4% of the front panel. The TFT resistive touchscreen, capable of displaying 65K colors, might appear limited compared to modern standards, but it served adequately for basic interfaces and applications at the time. A noteworthy inclusion is HTC's TouchFLO technology, enabling finger-swipe navigation in lieu of more advanced capacitive touch systems, offering a pioneering touch experience.
