Camera
The photography capabilities of the Huawei Ascend D1 were quite decent for its era. It sported an 8 MP rear camera with autofocus and a dual-LED flash, capable of capturing images in reasonable detail, vivid in color, and with good low-light performance. Video capture maxes out at 1080p at 30 frames per second. The front-facing camera was a modest 1.3 MP, sufficient for the nascent beginnings of "selfies" and capable of recording 720p video. While it wouldn't compare to today's selfie standards, it served adequately for video calls and basic photo needs.
