Under the hood, the Ascend G630 is powered by the Qualcomm MSM8212 Snapdragon 200 chipset and a quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU. Coupled with an Adreno 302 GPU, this hardware lends the device moderate performance capabilities suited mostly for basic applications and tasks. It ships with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean layered with Huawei's EMUI Lite 2, providing a straightforward and largely smooth user interface relevant to its era.
The phone offers 4GB of internal storage accompanied by 1GB of RAM, with a dedicated microSDHC slot allowing for external storage expansion. This was somewhat limiting even in 2014, but it supported essential applications and light media use adequately. The phone did present some limitations in multitasking due to the limited RAM.
