Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Ascend G700 runs on a Mediatek MT6589 chipset paired with a quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 processor and a PowerVR SGX544 GPU. This combination was designed to handle basic apps and games when running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Although the operating system is now dated, it was functional for the app landscape at the time. The device comes with 2GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSDHC card. This was considered ample for maintaining smooth performance while accommodating music, videos, and apps.
