The photography aspirations of the Ascend Mate are modest, featuring a single 8 MP rear camera with autofocus, LED flash, and HDR capabilities. The rear camera is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps, delivering satisfactory results under good lighting conditions. However, low-light performance is relatively limited. On the front, the 1 MP camera offers basic video calling functionality and 720p video recording, reflecting the early generation of smartphone front cameras.
