Under the hood, the Ascend P1 XL was powered by a TI OMAP 4460 chipset, featuring a dual-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU and a PowerVR SGX540 GPU. These components, paired with 1GB of RAM, provided decent performance for the time, handling typical use cases like web browsing, social media, and multimedia playback smoothly. Although it ran on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, a version that has since become outdated, the operating system was intuitive and user-friendly when released.
