Under the hood, the Huawei Ascend P1s was powered by a TI OMAP 4460 chipset with a dual-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A9 processor and a PowerVR SGX540 GPU. Accompanied by 1GB of RAM, it handled the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system smoothly for most tasks and applications available at the time. While the internal storage was limited to 4GB, users could expand this via a microSDHC card slot, ensuring ample space for additional apps and media when needed.
