Performance
Under the hood, the Mate 40 RS Porsche Design is powered by Huawei’s proprietary Kirin 9000 5G chipset, built on a 5 nm process. This is paired with an octa-core CPU configuration that includes a high-performance Cortex-A77 core clocked at 3.13 GHz, three additional Cortex-A77 cores at 2.54 GHz, and four energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores at 2.05 GHz. The Mali-G78 MP24 GPU handles graphics, offering robust performance capable of tackling demanding apps and games with ease. The phone runs on EMUI 11 based on Android 10, though it does not feature Google Play Services, substituting instead Huawei’s own suite of applications and app store.
