Performance
The Mate 9 Porsche Design runs on Android 7.0 Nougat, but is upgradable to Android 9.0 Pie with Huawei's EMUI 9.1 interface on top. Under the hood, it is powered by the Kirin 960 chipset, which was one of Huawei's high-performance processors built on a 16 nm process at the time. The octa-core CPU configuration, featuring four Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.4 GHz for demanding tasks and four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.8 GHz for efficiency, ensured swift performance. Coupled with the Mali-G71 MP8 GPU, the phone was more than capable of handling graphics-intensive applications and games. With 6GB of RAM and a generous 256GB of internal storage (though lacking expandability via a card slot), users had ample space for apps, media, and other data.
