The Huawei Mate X2 features a distinctive, folding form factor that allows it to transform between a tablet-like experience when unfolded and a conventional smartphone form when folded. Measuring 161.8 x 74.6 x 14.7 mm when folded, and 161.8 x 145.8 x 8.2 mm when unfolded, the device strikes a balance between portability and screen real estate. It is a bit heavier at 295 grams, largely due to its robust build which includes a glass front and back, along with an aluminum frame. The hybrid dual-SIM design, using Nano-SIMs and a shared SIM slot for Nano Memory cards, adds to its versatility.
