Performance and Software
Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the MediaTek MT8768 chipset, featuring an octa-core CPU with 4 cores at 2.0 GHz and 4 at 1.50 GHz Cortex-A53. Coupled with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU, it performs adequately for everyday tasks such as browsing, streaming, and light gaming.
Running on Android 10 topped with Huawei’s EMUI 10, the MatePad T8 provides a user-friendly interface; however, it does not include Google Play Services—a notable limitation for those invested in the Google ecosystem. Despite this, the device supports Huawei’s AppGallery, which is continuously expanding its range of available applications.
