At its core, the device is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset, which was a competent mid-range processor at the time of its release. The octa-core CPU, with a combination of 1.5 GHz and 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53 cores, paired with an Adreno 405 GPU, delivers adequate performance for standard apps and moderate multitasking. However, it's less suited for demanding games or software requiring significant graphical processing power. Running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with EMUI, its user interface, while dated, remains functional but lacks some of the modernized features available in later Android versions.
