Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Huawei Nova Plus is powered by the Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 chipset, which is built on the 14 nm process. It features an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU clocked at 2.0 GHz, enabling smooth multitasking and efficient power usage. The Adreno 506 GPU complements this setup, handling graphic-intensive tasks reasonably well for its time. The device comes with 32GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM, which allow for moderate storage needs and general app performance. Additionally, a microSDXC card slot is available, though it uses the shared SIM slot in the hybrid dual-SIM model.
The Nova Plus initially launched with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, layered with Huawei's EMUI 4.1. While the software experience is generally intuitive, it may appear outdated, given the rapid advancement of Android versions since its release.
