Under the hood, the Huawei Y3 is powered by the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with EMUI 4.1 Mini skin. Depending on the model, it runs on either a Mediatek MT6737M chipset with a quad-core 1.1 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU or a Mediatek MT6580M with a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 for the CRO-U00 variant. The GPU configurations vary correspondingly between the Mali-T720MP2 and Mali-400MP2. The phone's performance is modest, with 1GB of RAM and 8GB or 32GB of internal storage, expandable via a dedicated microSDXC slot. eMMC 5.0 storage technology supports the internal memory, ensuring decent read/write speeds for its class.
