Display and Interface

The TFT resistive touchscreen was capable of displaying 65,000 colors, providing good color reproduction by the standards of 2004. Although the touchscreen was not capacitive and thus less responsive to light touches, it nonetheless supported handwriting recognition, which was a forward-thinking feature for improved user input, especially for note-taking on the go. The screen-to-body ratio of around 38.8% meant that users enjoyed a significant display area, albeit with considerable bezels by today’s standards.
