Platform and Performance
The phone runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 PocketPC, providing a suite of productivity applications with Pocket Office. This made it quite useful for users who needed to work on the go, offering access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Under the hood, the i-mate JAMin operated with a TI OMAP 850 chipset and a 200 MHz ARM926EJ-S CPU. It had a modest memory offering, with 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM, which were appropriate for managing basic tasks and applications but would be limiting by today’s standards.
