Display and Interface

The i-mate JASJAM sports a 2.8-inch TFT resistive touchscreen with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. Although the screen-to-body ratio is approximately 37.2%, it provided adequate space for the device's tasks. The resistive touchscreen required a stylus for navigation, reflecting the pre-capacitive touch era, necessitating more precision when interacting with the device. Despite having only 65K colors, the display was clear enough for business applications and general phone tasks. The inclusion of handwriting recognition was a forward-thinking feature, appealing to those who preferred writing over typing.
