The i-mate SP5 features a compact and utilitarian design that reflects the mobile technology trends of its time. With dimensions of 107.5 x 46.2 x 17.5 mm, it was easy to carry around, while the weight of 106 grams made it feel substantial without being cumbersome. The phone utilized a Mini-SIM, which was standard during its launch period. Its physical appearance was distinguished by the 5-way navigation button, which provided intuitive control over the device's interface, compensating to an extent for the absence of touch-screen interactivity.
