The Icemobile Rock Mini was targeted towards users who prioritized communication over multimedia experiences. It supported GSM network technology across a range of frequency bands, making it versatile for straightforward calling and texting. However, GPRS Class 10 was the extent of its connectivity, excluding modern alternatives like EDGE, 3G, or 4G.
A distinguishing feature was its ability to store up to 500 contacts in the phonebook and keep records for the last 20 dialed, received, and missed calls. The device included a microSD card slot, allowing users to expand storage for MP3 or MP4 file playback, although Java apps were not supported.
