Under the hood, the Lava 3G 402+ was powered by a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor and Mali-400 GPU, which ran on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The device offered 4GB of internal storage and 512MB of RAM, which was quite modest even by 2013's standards. This configuration was suitable for light tasks but limited when it came to multitasking or running more demanding applications. The presence of a microSDHC slot allowed for additional storage, which was a necessary feature given the limited built-in memory.
