Under the hood, the Lava A51 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, a version that was widely popular for its user-friendly interface and manageable resource consumption. It is equipped with a Spreadtrum SC7731C chipset and a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. With just 512MB of RAM, performance is understandably limited, catering more to basic applications and light multitasking.
The internal storage is pegged at 8GB, which is adequate for basic apps and a small collection of media; however, users will likely benefit from the microSDHC card slot to expand their storage options.
