Under the hood, the Lava Iris 505 runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, paired with a Mali-400 GPU. While these specifications were common for entry-level phones of its time, they restrict the device to basic applications and light multitasking. The low storage capacity of 4GB, out of which about half may be usable after accounting for the OS, necessitates the use of a microSD card for additional storage, particularly for users who wish to store media.
