Running Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, the Lava V5 was upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which brought enhancements in terms of functionality and efficiency. The phone is powered by a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU, built on a MediaTek MT6735 chipset with Mali-T720MP2 GPU. While not designed for high-end gaming or intensive multitasking, this combination offered sufficient performance for standard operations and basic app usage. The 3GB of RAM bolstered its ability to handle multitasking relative to its peers at the time. With 16GB of internal storage and a microSDHC card slot, users could expand their storage for apps, photos, and other media.
