Under the hood, the Lenovo A830 runs on the Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean operating system, which, at the time of release, offered a relatively smooth user experience with its user-friendly interface. The device is powered by a Mediatek MT6589 chipset, which includes a quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU. Complemented by a PowerVR SGX544 GPU, the phone can handle ordinary tasks with ease, such as web browsing and running basic applications. With 1GB of RAM, multitasking capabilities are limited, and performance can dip if the device is pushed with too many apps simultaneously. The internal storage stands at 4GB, but Lenovo provides a dedicated microSDXC slot for expandable storage, which is almost essential given the low built-in capacity.
