Under the hood, the Lenovo IdeaTab A1000 is powered by a Mediatek MT8317 chipset paired with a dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 processor and a PowerVR SGX531u GPU. This hardware setup runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box, with the possibility of upgrading to 4.2. Performance-wise, the tablet is quite modest; it handles basic tasks such as web browsing and standard applications reasonably well but struggles with more demanding apps or games due to its limited processing power and 1GB RAM.
