Under the hood, the Lenovo IdeaTab A3000 houses a Mediatek MT8125 chipset with a quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and a PowerVR SGX544 GPU. This configuration was capable of delivering a smooth user experience for basic tasks and casual applications. Initially running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the OS is upgradeable to 4.2 Jelly Bean, offering users a slightly enhanced software environment. With 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, expandable via a dedicated microSDXC slot, users had reasonable room for their apps and media.
