Under the hood, the S850 is powered by a Mediatek MT6582 chipset, featuring a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and Mali-400MP2 GPU. While these specifications might seem modest by today's standards, during its initial release, they enabled smooth performance for basic tasks such as web browsing, social media, and light gaming. However, the lack of expandable storage, limited to 16GB internal memory and 1GB RAM, could pose constraints for users with extensive app and media needs. Running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the OS was user-friendly and came equipped with essential features of its time, although it falls short of supporting the latest apps and security updates now.
