Under the hood, the S890 was powered by a Mediatek MT6577 chipset with a dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU and a PowerVR SGX531u GPU. Accompanied by 1GB of RAM, this hardware combination was certainly limited by today’s standards, but for its time, it provided sufficient power for basic tasks, including browsing and lightweight application use. The phone ran on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, offering a smooth but now outdated user experience with access to numerous apps via the Google Play Store.
