Lenovo ZUK Edge Performance and Software

Performance and Software

When it comes to powering the ZUK Edge, Lenovo didn’t compromise. The device is equipped with a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 821 chipset, incorporating a quad-core CPU with a split between high-performance and energy-efficient cores. With two Kryo cores clocked at 2.35 GHz for intensive tasks and two at 1.6 GHz for lighter use, the phone effectively balances performance with battery life. The Adreno 530 GPU complements this setup, ensuring smooth graphics rendering.

The ZUK Edge runs on Android 7.0 Nougat, with Lenovo's own ZUI 2.5 layered on top. This operating system provided users with a clean interface and useful customization features, though being based on an older version of Android, it lacks some of the latest security and feature updates seen in newer Android iterations.
