Under the hood, the LG G Pro 2 was powered by the Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 chipset, featuring a quad-core 2.26 GHz Krait 400 CPU and the Adreno 330 GPU. At launch, it ran on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with the LG Optimus UI, though it could be upgraded to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop for enhanced functionality and security. The device was available in two internal storage variants, 16GB or 32GB, both paired with 3GB of RAM, offering adequate multitasking capabilities for its time. The inclusion of a dedicated microSDXC card slot provided expandable storage, catering to users with extensive media libraries.
