Connectivity and Sound
The GW990 was designed to support GSM and HSPA networks, with HSPA speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps for downloads and 5.76 Mbps for uploads, adequate for the era’s mobile data requirements. The device offered Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth connectivity, making it suitably equipped for wireless tasks. It also featured GPS and A-GPS for location services. However, its lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack might have been a drawback for some users, given the standard reliance on wired headphones at the time.
