The KE820 supported basic connectivity options reflective of its time, including Bluetooth 1.2 and a proprietary USB interface for data transfer. It did not feature modern positioning systems like GPS, nor did it have WLAN capabilities, which were not yet standard in many mobile devices. The inclusion of EDGE provided enhanced data services over the basic GPRS, making it suitable for rudimentary internet browsing.
