Performance and Software
Powered by the Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset, the Optimus 4X HD was built for speed and efficiency. With a quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU and ULP GeForce GPU, it delivered commendable performance by 2012 standards, handling multitasking and graphics-intensive applications better than many contemporaries. The device initially ran Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, upgradable to 4.1 Jelly Bean, bringing with it enhancements in performance and app compatibility. Coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (12GB available to users), it was reasonably equipped for storing apps and media, with expandable storage via microSDXC for additional space.
