Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Optimus Vu is powered by the Qualcomm MSM8660 Snapdragon S3 chipset, featuring a dual-core 1.5 GHz Scorpion CPU and an Adreno 220 GPU. This configuration was quite competitive during its release in 2012, capable of handling most applications smoothly. Initially launched with Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread), the device is upgradable to Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean), providing access to a decent range of apps. Nonetheless, with just 1GB of RAM and no expandable storage option, the phone's success in dealing with more resource-intensive tasks could be limited over time.
