Performance and Software
At its core, the Nitro 5 is powered by a Spreadtrum SC7731 chipset, featuring a quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and a Mali-400 GPU. Running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, this combination was typical for budget phones in 2015. While it can handle basic tasks such as making calls, sending texts, and light app usage, its performance can lag when tackling more demanding applications or multitasking extensively. The internal storage of 4GB, paired with just 512MB of RAM, further limits its capacity for storing apps and media. Fortunately, the inclusion of a microSDHC card slot allows for storage expansion, which proves essential given the minimal internal storage.
