Under the hood, the Meizu E2 is powered by the Mediatek MT6757 Helio P20 chipset with an octa-core processor configuration. Featuring four cores clocked at 2.3 GHz and another four at 1.6 GHz, this configuration offered steady performance for daily tasks and moderate multitasking needs. Integrated with the Mali-T880MP2 GPU, the E2 could handle graphics-heavy applications and games at moderate settings. Running Android 7 (Nougat) with Meizu's Flyme 6 interface, users experienced a custom Android skin with additional features and customization options. However, users who prefer stock Android might find Flyme's interface to be a learning curve.
