Under the hood, the M1 Metal is powered by the Mediatek MT6795 Helio X10 chipset, paired with an octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and PowerVR G6200 GPU. The combination ensures smooth operation for most daily tasks and moderate gaming. It runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) with Flyme 5.1 OS, which adds a custom layer over the stock Android experience. The phone comes with two storage/RAM configurations: 16GB/2GB RAM and 32GB/2GB RAM, which for the time offered adequate multitasking abilities.
