At the heart of the Canvas 2 is the Mediatek MT6577 chipset, featuring a dual-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU and the PowerVR SGX531 GPU. These components, while sufficient for basic smartphone functions, are limited in handling more demanding tasks or newer applications efficiently. Initially shipped with Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich), the phone can be upgraded to Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean), offering modest improvements to user experience and functionality.
