Performance
Under the hood, the Canvas Beat was powered by a Broadcom BCM23550 chipset with a quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU, paired with a Broadcom VideoCore IV GPU. This setup provided satisfactory performance for day-to-day tasks such as texting, web browsing, and running basic applications. However, when dealing with more demanding applications or multitasking, the limitations of the 1GB of RAM became apparent, particularly given the 4GB of internal storage (of which only about 1.5GB was available to the user). The presence of a dedicated microSDHC slot did allow for memory expansion, somewhat mitigating the low internal storage issue.
