Powered by a Mediatek MT6589T chipset with a quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and a PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU, the phone was equipped to handle daily tasks effectively at launch. Running Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), the Canvas Magnus provided a smooth user interface for its time, though it shows its age now. The inclusion of 1GB of RAM supported reasonable multitasking capability, but with 4GB of internal storage and only 2.6GB available for user data, many would have relied on the microSDHC card slot for additional storage.
