Under the hood, the Micromax A60 ran on Android 2.1 Eclair, driven by a 600 MHz processor. While this setup was sufficient for carrying out basic tasks and running simple apps, it couldn't handle demanding applications or multitasking with ease. Nonetheless, it served as a good starting point for users new to smartphones. The internal storage was limited to 150MB, but a dedicated microSDHC slot allowed users to expand storage considerably, which was crucial for managing photos, music, and apps.
