With a 3.5-inch TFT display capable of showing 256K colors, the Micromax A78's screen renders images and text in a relatively standard quality for its time. However, the 360 x 480 pixel resolution in a 4:3 aspect ratio would seem lacking by today's standards, especially with its screen-to-body ratio of approximately 49.8%, which results in noticeable bezels.
