Software and Performance
Running on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, the Micromax A90 was equipped to support a variety of apps and services typical of its time. The Mediatek MT6575 chipset, paired with a 1.0 GHz Cortex-A9 processor and PowerVR SGX531 GPU, provided sufficient performance for light tasks and multitasking. However, the 512MB RAM was somewhat limiting, especially for more demanding applications. The internal storage of 4GB, with about 2GB accessible to the user, further constrained the device, though expansion via microSDHC was possible.
