Powering the Micromax Bolt A066 is a Mediatek MT6571 chipset with a dual-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU. This hardware setup, complemented by a Mali-400 GPU, was designed for basic usage scenarios such as calling, texting, and light internet browsing. With only 512MB of RAM, multitasking capabilities were limited, and users may have experienced lags when running multiple apps simultaneously.
The phone came with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, which was a fairly up-to-date operating system at the time of its release. This provided users access to a range of apps from the Google Play Store, although demanding applications and games would have been a challenge for the hardware.
