Under the hood, the Bolt D303 was powered by a Mediatek MT6572M chipset combined with a dual-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and a Mali-400 GPU. Paired with 512MB of RAM, the phone was strictly for fundamental operations such as calling, texting, and simple app usage. It ran on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, an operating system that, while dated, was known for its stability and ease of use.
The 4GB of internal storage was quite limiting by current standards, but it was expandable via a microSDHC card, alleviating some storage pressures for photos and apps.
