Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Lumia 640 XL is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400 chipset, featuring a quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and an Adreno 305 GPU. The hardware, although considered modest by today's standards, was capable of managing daily tasks and light app usage efficiently. Initially running on Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1, it is upgradable to Windows 10, which provides access to updated apps and services. However, the limited 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via a dedicated microSDXC slot) restrict some of its multitasking abilities.
